Bagno Vignoni ~ Cooking Classes, Wine Tasting, Spa, and Massage Services
Guest can learn genuine Southern Tuscan dishes and the secrets passed down from grandmothers and grandfathers. All classes are hands-on and include local wine. The cooking course teaches the traditional Tuscan ”Cucina Povera“ (country cooking of the peasants). The course is taught in a rustic setting and the informality of the course makes it a recreational experience. A glass of wine is always within arms reach so you can relax and enjoy! These cooking classes are designed to take you through a classic Italian menu which includes: antipasti & “primi” (the first dish and also the first course) and then in the next class you will learn the “secondi & contorni” (the second dish with additional side dishes). Villa Castelletti – Aristocratic Florentian Estate
The cooking courses are taught by the Master Chef at the restaurant: Le Querce” on the Villa Castelletti Estate, where you will enjoy cooking, wining and dining in a traditional Tuscan ambience. You will sample an array of fine wines from the area where you will be based. This area is known as one of the oldest wine zones Carmignano and this DOCG (the highest quality denomination assigned by the Italian government for authentic wine producing regions, literally “di origine controllata e garantita” translated as: of controlled and guaranteed origin) blends Cabernet with the Sangiovese grape which produces some of Tuscany’s finest wines. You will also experience a wine tasting in the Chianti region and a special visit to an Olive Farm and Winery in Carmignano area where you will have the opportunity of tastings its wines and olive oils. Charming bed and breakfast Ancient Podere Marciano
Antico Podere Marciano as it is today is the result of a thorough restoration of a traditional rural property, dating the year 1.000. The small charming B&B has been furnished finely, taking care for details and comfort. The restoration work and interior design project of the Bed and Breakfast were entrusted to interior designer Julia Scartozzoni, who carefully selected suggestive colors, styles and décor to fill the “rural hotel” with a refined yet comfortable atmosphere.
